The Ulsterman Report: Democrats and Republicans Ignore Obama on Debt Ceiling Talks | Socyberty

“Daley is a party guy, and so he’s out there attempting to protect the platform, right? Trying to convince the constituents that the party, not so much the administration, but the party is still loyal to their interests. The fact Geithner is the one publicly indicating a short term deal is fine for the moment indicates that this deal is likely already done, and secondly, that Geithner is on his way out of the administration. They are remaining connected to the issue from all sides in order to take credit however it might break. That’s a Clinton-like strategy so it’s likely coming directly from Daley. Look for a “surprise” announcement to come soon after the deal is made regarding Geithner’s departure. It seems that on this situation then, both Daley on Geithner are actually on the same page. I would not be at all surprised to hear reports coming out within 48 hours that a deal has been made between Democrats and Republicans. Obama will then attempt to take credit, and despite whatever bullshit he has been saying beforehand, President Obama will sign whatever is put on his desk at this point and be damn thankful for it. The guy has been a total flake on this issue from day one. Everyone involved knows it. Everyone.” -D.C. Insider

Articles: Obama's Economic Brutality

Articles: Obama's Economic Brutality: "There has never been an American president who denounced the American way of life like Barack Obama does. During his campaign, he pointed to all of the above in our domestic policy as atrocities committed by Americans against the world. We supposedly use too much of the world's resources, and it has to stop before we run out. It can be shown that since day one, Obama has set into motion an authoritarian and punishing economic policy that amounts to economic assault and battery on the American people."

Nothing more to add.

Boehner Ends Debt-Limit Talks With White House, Turns to Senate Leaders - FoxNews.com

Boehner Ends Debt-Limit Talks With White House, Turns to Senate Leaders - FoxNews.com: "'The White House moved the goal post,' Boehner said Friday evening in a news conference, claiming that the talks broke down when the White House demanded an additional $400 billion in new revenues, on top of the $800 billion that had been agreed on -- 'which was going to be nothing more than a tax increase on the American people,' Boehner said."

What a clown. So how is $800 billion in new "revenue" (does anyone think the government gets significant revenue from anything but taxes?) any different?

Terry was killed in December, the top ATF supervisors in Phoenix said in internal emails that weapons found at the scene in Arizona came from a failed agency sting operation.

But nearly two months later, when U.S. Sen. Charles E. Grassley (R-Iowa) inquired about the origin of the guns, senior officials in Washington with the Justice Department and its Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms were evasive."

Neither has the White House, despite the hysteria over the August 2nd deadline. So why are Senators streaming out of Washington DC, Senator Reid? Bachmann, Paul Vote Against "Cut, Cap and Balance" Bill: "Paul also rejected the long-established distinction between 'discretionary' and 'non-discretionary' spending. 'America faces a fiscal crisis, and we must seize the opportunity once and for all to slay Washington's sacred cows — including defense contractors and entitlements. All spending must be deemed discretionary and reexamined by Congress each year,' said Paul, a 12-term Congressman."

Bozell Column: Obama Lies About His Mom, Networks Yawn | NewsBusters.org: "In the Bush years, media liberals (and even Joe Scarborough) suggested George W. Bush was dangerously stupid because he was so “intellectually incurious.” Our media are so incurious about the truth behind Obama’s often-mythical life story, one might ask “Are they dangerously stupid?”"

The obvious answer is "Yes".

Obamacare lies

But hey, Obamacare is going to give everybody healthcare, save the economy and even guarantee that your dog is getting enough peanut butter, so who cares if the anecdotes trotted out to prove how badly we needed it were false, and even were they true, Obamacare probably wouldn't have helped. None of that matters, when you're the Smartest Man in the Room!

Articles: Obama Redefining 'Poverty'

Articles: Obama Redefining 'Poverty': "The current poverty measure counts (albeit inaccurately) absolute purchasing power (how much meat and potatoes a person can buy). The new measure will count comparative purchasing power (how much meat and potatoes a person can buy relative to other people). As the nation becomes wealthier, the poverty standards will increase in proportion. In other words, Obama will employ a statistical trick to give a new meaning to the saying that 'the poor will always be with you.'"

What is Poverty in America?: "According to the government’s own survey data, in 2005, the average household defined as poor by the government lived in a house or apartment equipped with air conditioning and cable TV. Articles: The Real 'Under the Radar' Target of Operation Fast and Furious

Articles: The Real 'Under the Radar' Target of Operation Fast and Furious: "These are criminal breaches of trust with the people by the Obama Justice Department and perhaps Obama himself. That the Obama administration not only allowed but appears to have facilitated illegal firearms exports resulting in multiple deaths on both sides of the border, in furtherance of a domestic agenda of stricter gun control laws, is criminally prosecutable and politically lethal. Richard Nixon was forced to resign for a far less grievous offense; no one died by Nixon's hand, but two American agents are dead by the hand of whoever initiated this misguided program. If Republicans take control of the Senate in the 2012 elections, Barack Obama could be facing impeachment and conviction should the current House investigation into this scandal ultimately lead into the Oval Office and there find the smoking gun."

This is the missing link that makes the gunrunning fit.

If default would be a catastrophe, why is Obama opposed to a short-term deal that would avert it? « Hot Air: "To put it another way, is there any policy reason why Obama won’t agree to a short-term deal or is this really as horribly cynical as it looks — that he simply refuses to do anything that might complicate his reelection campaign, even if that means a default by the United States? Jake Tapper pressed Carney about that in today’s briefing — which is worse, default or a short-term deal? — and Carney actually said, no joke, “Both are bad; I can’t choose which is worse for you.” In a sane world, that answer would shatter the White House narrative that hitting the ceiling is an avoid-at-all-costs risk since, evidently, the Perpetual Campaigner thinks another slugfest over this next year is a greater risk than defaulting now would be."

Let's see, I think I'll go with "cynical".
